Why this matters

Every homeowner you don’t reply to in 5 minutes hires the contractor who did.

78% of remodeling jobs go to the first contractor who responds. The industry average is 4 to 6 hours. The math is unkind — but it’s also fixable.

4–6 hrs

Industry-average response time for remodeling leads

0.1%

Field service businesses replying within 5 minutes

Higher conversion at 5-min vs. 24-hr response

~60%

Leads that disappear without ever saying 'no'

BriefLead makes sure you’re not the contractor still drafting a reply when the homeowner has already booked someone else.

Want the research behind that number? Here’s how fast contractors should respond to new leads.

Not another tool to learn

Not a CRM. Not an AI receptionist.

Just the lead system remodelers actually use — the useful part of a CRM, without the CRM.

What you get

  • One link, share anywhere
  • Clean brief in your inbox in 60 seconds
  • Private Airtable tracker for every lead
  • Daily reminders until you mark it done
  • Weekly + monthly summaries

What you don’t deal with

  • Sales pipeline stages to maintain
  • Five integrations to learn and connect
  • An AI bot talking to your homeowners
  • Training, certifications, onboarding calls
  • Hidden fees or enterprise contracts

Grew up around service work. Spent 15 years building CRMs. Built BriefLead to bring those two worlds together.

I grew up around service work — restaurants, custodial, maintenance, contractor jobs. I watched my dad and a lot of good people work harder than they should have, then lose jobs because a lead got buried in a text message.

Then I spent 15 years in sales — building CRMs, training BDR and SDR teams, running pipeline for SaaS and market-research companies. The whole time I kept thinking: this is the stuff service businesses need, just without the bloat.

BriefLead is what happens when those two worlds meet. One link to capture the lead. One brief to understand it. One tracker to organize it. Reminders so nobody drops the ball.

Simple monthly pricing. Pay for the leads we triage.

Lead = one homeowner submission we process into a brief. Site visits, repeat homeowners (same email within 24 hours), and obvious spam are not counted.

Common questions

The stuff remodelers actually ask.

Don't I already get notified when someone fills out my form?
You get a raw form dump. We send a 30-second brief that tells you whether it's a HOT lead, whether their budget is realistic, what to ask next, and a draft of your first reply. The form notification is data. The brief is a decision.
Won't AI write bad replies that hurt my reputation?
We don't send the homeowner anything (unless you're on Scale and opt into done-for-you follow-ups — and even then, we CC you on every send). On Starter and Pro, the brief goes to YOU. Your first reply, on your phone, in your voice.
Do I need to install anything?
No. You share one link — in texts, DMs, your Instagram bio, email signature, business card. No code on your website, no app to download. The brief and tracker live wherever you read email.
Can you capture leads from my existing website form too?
By default we process leads that come through your BriefLead intake link. On Pro and Scale, you can set up an email-forwarding rule so your existing form's notifications get briefed in the same system — the brief may be lighter if your form collects less detail. Want a proper API integration with your form? That's a one-time setup add-on.
Where do my leads actually live?
In a private Airtable base only you (and we) can see. Airtable is a free, well-known spreadsheet/database tool used by 450,000+ companies. You can view, sort, filter, and export your leads to CSV anytime. If you cancel, you keep your exported data — and if you have your own Airtable workspace, we'll transfer the live base to you.
Do I have to switch from my current CRM?
No. BriefLead is the lightweight front-end between "lead came in" and "I followed up." If you have a CRM for project management, billing, etc., it keeps doing that. Most pilot customers don't have a CRM — the Airtable tracker IS their CRM.
What if I get way more than 200 leads a month?
That's the Scale tier — up to 200 leads/mo combined across up to 3 locations, then $1 per extra lead up to a 600/mo cap. Running 4+ locations or more than 600 leads/mo? That's an enterprise conversation — email us and we'll size a plan to your operation. We email at 80% of your cap so you can upgrade ahead of time. No surprise bills.
Do I need to be in LA to use BriefLead?
No — BriefLead works for residential remodelers anywhere in the US. I'm based in LA, so I know that market firsthand, but I take on remodelers nationwide. The product works the same wherever your leads come from.
What happens if I cancel?
Your account closes at the end of the current month. No early-termination fee. We stop processing new leads; everything else (your form, your CRM, your inbox) keeps working exactly as before. You can request a CSV export of your full lead history, or a transfer of the live Airtable base to your own workspace.
