Terms & Refund Policy
The deal, in plain English.
Last updated: 2026-05-26
By subscribing to BriefLead, you agree to these terms. They’re meant to be a fair, plain-English deal, not a 30-page PDF nobody reads. If anything here is unclear, email and we’ll explain.
What you’re buying
A subscription to BriefLead, which converts your incoming lead submissions into AI-generated briefs, drops them into a tracker, and sends you follow-up reminders and weekly/monthly summary emails. Pricing, lead caps, and overage rates are on the homepage.
Subscription & auto-renewal
BriefLead is a monthly subscription. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date you started, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. You’ll see the charge on your card statement as “BriefLead” or “BriefLead Pro” depending on your plan.
30-day money-back guarantee
If BriefLead isn’t working for you in your first 30 days, email jeremy@brieflead.proand we’ll refund your first month’s subscription. This applies once per customer (and per associated business) and covers the subscription fee only — any overage charges already paid are not refundable. We reserve the right to decline refund requests where there’s clear abuse (e.g. signing up, exporting every lead, then requesting a refund).
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime by emailing us. Your account closes at the end of your current billing month — no early-termination fee, no partial-month refunds outside the 30-day guarantee. We stop processing new lead submissions on cancellation.
What happens to your Airtable tracker:the tracker lives in our BriefLead Airtable workspace, and your access is via shared Editor permissions. On cancellation, you have two options: (1) request a CSV export of all your lead history (we’ll send within 5 business days), or (2) if you have your own Airtable workspace, request a base transfer so the live tracker becomes yours. Either way, your lead data is portable — we won’t hold it hostage.
Your data & sub-processors
Your leads, your data. For each lead you process through BriefLead, we rely on a small list of sub-processors:
- Vercel — application hosting (US)
- Neon — Postgres database (US)
- Anthropic — Claude AI generates the brief content (US)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (US)
- Airtable — your private lead tracker (US)
We do not sell, share, or use your customer data to train AI models. Anthropic, our AI provider, has API terms that explicitly exclude API customer data from training (see Anthropic Commercial Terms).
California residents:Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, request its deletion, and opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” (which we don’t do anyway). Email jeremy@brieflead.pro to exercise any of these rights — we respond within 45 days.
On request we’ll delete your processed brief records from our backend within 30 days. Your Airtable base is yours to keep or delete separately.
Acceptable use
BriefLead is for processing legitimate homeowner lead inquiries. Don’t use it to: harvest contact info for unsolicited spam, process leads obtained without consent, route illegal or fraudulent solicitations, or reverse-engineer / scrape the service. We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe are violating these limits.
Service availability
BriefLead runs on hosted infrastructure listed above. We aim for high reliability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. If a third-party outage causes extended downtime in any billing month, we’ll credit your account proportionally on request.
Limitation of liability
BriefLead is a lead-routing convenience, not a replacement for your business judgment. AI-generated briefs may contain mistakes; you remain responsible for verifying lead details, deciding whom to contact, and how to respond. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid during that period, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profits damages.
Disputes
We’ll work with you in good faith to resolve any issue. First step is always email. If that fails, disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts of Los Angeles County, California, under California law, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes (anything that affects your subscription, refunds, or data rights), we’ll email you at least 30 days before they take effect, so you have time to cancel if you disagree. Non-material wording cleanups may be updated without notice. Amendments to these terms only apply going forward, never retroactively.
